Junior ACT test date will be March 21, 2017with a make-up test date on April 19, 2017. All juniors must take the ACT test at this time.

Students can use www.actstudent.org to prepare for the ACT test.

Seniors: If you would like to re-take your ACT test please go online to www.act.org to register or request a paper application.

Visit www.act.org for information regarding the ACT test and www.collegboard.com for information regarding the SAT test.

FINANCIAL AID

Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov to fill out your "Free Application for Student Aid". Financial Aid forms will be available online after January 1. A copy of the powerpoint presentation received during the financial aid parents night can be requested by the student or parent, contact Susie Strating at Maddock High School for this information or assistance.

The Maddock Financial Aid inforamtion presentation will be held on February 24, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Maddock ITV room. Parents of juniors and seniors are encouraged to attend. There will be significant changes to the timeline for next year's (2016-17)seniors.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships will be made available to the students as they are received. Please see the scholarship listfor more information and links to applications.


Don't forget to apply for scholarships at the college/university you are planning to attend!

Here are a few suggestions to help you in your scholarship search:

* Start early
* Always ask for recommendations two weeks in advance
* Type your applications
* Apply for as many scholarships as you are eligible
* Make a copy of essays, information and recommendations
* Keep a file of all scholarship information
* Sell yourself (include volunteer work, all activities, jobs etc.)
